GREAT HOLIDAY DEVOTIONAL TO USE WITH YOUR CHILDREN AND PRE-TEENS
God has designed discipleship to start and end in the home.
Long before God created the nation of Israel to spread His glory and long before God instituted the church to share the message of Christ, God ordained the family to be the primary means of discipleship.
God says, "Be very careful never to forget what you have seen the Lord do for you. Do not let these things escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren...That way, they will learn to fear me as long as they live, and they will be able to teach my laws to their children."
God's plan from the beginning has been incredibly simple. "Parents you teach your children about Me as you walk through life together. Then, when your children grow up and leave the home, they will turn around and do the same for their children."
That is the purpose of this holiday devotional. Let it be a tool to help daily disciple your children and pre-teens. Each day, you will find a Bible passage to read along with a devotional thought. From there, you will engage your children with a series of questions. The first is simply designed to get them talking, the rest focus on the day's lesson.
At the end of each devotional, you will be provided suggested prayers as well as ideas for object lessons that can further instill Biblical truths into your children.
God has called you to the great task of discipleship. It is not the job of your pastor, your children's Sunday school teacher, nor the youth leader. No, it is yours. Grab hold of that responsibility and watch as the Lord does awesome things in and through your family!

My 8 & 9 year old boy & girl did this devotional December 2017 & it simply encouraged us, gave us a daily reminder, to focus on Jesus & not ourselves. The brief daily time spent doing the devotional was impactful.Product details

TABLE TALKS Christmas is Jesus' Birthday Not Yours 30 Day Devotionals for Families Book 3 edition by Mark J Musser Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I'm using it now. It would be great for families with children. It's short and gives some easy object lessons to use with the children. It has two things to pray and things to think about--questions for the children. I don't have any children at home any more, but I am enjoying it.
